Well hello there. My name's Manda. I'm 29. I'm currently figuring out how to be a mom. Won't you join me?
My husband's name is John (but I call him "Johnny") and our daughter's name is Sydney (but we call her "Syd"). We have two dogs, named Henry (but we call him "Bubba") and Juicy (but we call him "NO, DON'T DO THAT!"). Also? My name is Amanda-with-an-A but no one has ever called me "Uh-manda," it's always been "Manda." As you can see, nicknames are a running theme in our household. Hopefully this clears up any confusion.
Other running themes include:
-I love my iPhone.
-Being pregnant is not for wimps.
-Sushi? I want to go to there.
-I live in Los Angeles and this place is messed up.
-Oh my goodness why won't babies sleep?
-I got a master's degree and all I have to show for it is this blog.
-Twitter. Twitter, Twitter, Twitter.
-Mac vs. PC WHO WILL WIN?
-Weight Watchers.
-I hate Jillian Michaels why does she make me do SO MANY PUSH-UPS?
-No my name is not Pastor's Wife. How many times must I punch you in the neck to remind you?
Watch out for:
-OVERUSE OF CAPS LOCK.
-Mild occasional profanity.
-Reports on what I ate, how many pounds I gained/lost, how many WW points something costs, blah blah blah.
-Overuse of expressions like blah blah blah, yada yada yada, etc etc etc.
-The word "y'all."
-Lots of photos of my cute kid.
Aside from this blog I coach high school cross-country and track and volunteer with the locally-based youth outreach ministry, Youth First. If I'm not doing any of the above you can find me (and of course Syd) at Target or Costco.
