Good news!! I totally rocked my 36-question driver's test and I ONLY MISSED ONE!! WOO! (John missed 3 out of 18 if you were wondering ... he only had to renew his license since he's had a Cali license before so he got a shorter test). So I guess this means we are now officially Californians. We have the plates on our cars and our licenses should be here in 10 days! Which means that the DMV unofficially moves faster than our unborn child. That is SAYING SOMETHING. Aside from the hour and a half wait we had to endure in the non-air conditioned DMV (ugh), we actually met two of the most amazing ladies who worked there: they were super friendly and helpful and NICE TO US. We even exchanged contact info with one of them so we can hang out with her and her husband and two-year-old later (she was AWESOME ... she even brought me a cold bottle of water when I was taking the written test. Who knew you could make friends at the DMV?). I'm sure they pitied the prego, but I'll take it since my time is running out. And yes, I have prego face in my license picture, but they let me put down a totally non-prego weight with no problem. And yes, I LIED.
When I got home I took the most deliciously freezing cold shower EVER. Amazing. Although it's probably not helping labor move along ...
But at least I can eat Oreos. As many as I want. It's the greatest.
Still on the Oreos, huh? I've moved on to (don't tell my dr.) Ghirardelli brownies topped with carmel ice cream. So amazing. I shouldn't even talk about it. Anyhoo. Thanks for the message. It's so hard to make all these new decisions. Even when I'm informed I feel uninformed!

Nicely done! On the smartness AND the friend-making- who knew! And if your little one really, really does take longer than the DMV... then I can no longer trust the laws of nature.
