That will be a hard and emotional race, Manda. But you know? I think it will give YOU a lot of peace too. Sometimes you have to revisit the hardest memories to feel true closure and forgiveness. Thinking of you.

I love what Emily said. I hope this race brings you peace and closure. I'll be thinking of you.

This moved me to tears. I love you Manda, I really do, and I hope you can find peace too. I know first hand how hard it is when your father is not there in your life and you have to live it thinking "I can't believe you're missing ALL THIS." I'm so sorry that we both have to live with that, but I love you for being you and talking so honestly and beautifully about it. Hugs hugs hugs.

This post is lovely, and so are you. Will be thinking of and praying for you when you run that race, lady. As Emily said, I hope that both peace and closure will be yours after this race.

Lily

You've grown a lot, my dear Manda. Well done.

Courtney

Thought of you the other day (well every Friday)...drove through Brookdale on my way to my Great-Grannie's assisted living home. Great memories :)
